LEED v5 is establishing a new standard for sustainability in the building industry, driving innovative changes that encourage environmental responsibility. At Lonseal, we fully embrace and support these advancements, promoting the use of healthy building materials that benefit both human health and the well-being of our planet. Together, we can work towards a brighter, greener future.
Lonseal’s interior flooring products contribute to LEED v5 through the following credits:
1. Building Product Disclosure and Optimization (BPDO) Credit: Our materials and sources qualify under this credit as they comply with industry-wide Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).
2. Embodied Carbon Reduction Credit: We evaluate the embodied carbon across our material categories and work to reduce it from the baseline level. Lonseal flooring materials with lower embodied carbon can help enhance performance in this credit.
3. Low-Emitting Materials Credit: All of our interior flooring and adhesive products meet the requirements for the Indoor Environmental Quality Credit. This confirms compliance with General Emissions Evaluation and volatile organic compound (VOC) content standards.
By prioritizing environmentally responsible manufacturing practices, ensuring transparency in product data, and producing low-emitting materials, Lonseal aims to play a significant role in shaping a new standard for sustainable and healthy interior spaces under LEED v5.
Lonseal’s “GreenVinyl Product Chart” helps specifiers in choosing a product that meets the needs of their projects.
